ใช้ neither…nor เพื่อปฏิเสธสองสิ่งพร้อมกัน จึงไม่เติม not ซ้ำในประโยคมาตรฐาน และเมื่อเชื่อมประธานให้ใช้กฎประธานที่ใกล้กริยาที่สุด

5. Common Traps: Parallel Structure & Agreement
วิธีตรวจเร็ว: วงคำหลังคำเชื่อมตัวแรกและตัวที่สอง แล้วดูว่าเป็นชนิดเดียวกันหรือไม่ จากนั้นถ้าคู่คำเชื่อมเชื่อมประธาน ให้ตรวจรูปกริยาอีกครั้ง
