In Part 2 you hear a question or statement and then three spoken responses, (A), (B) and (C). You choose the response that fits naturally. Nothing is printed, so the whole task depends on listening. The question types in these sets repeat: yes/no questions, wh-questions, either/or (alternative) questions, tag questions, and statements. Wrong responses tend to reuse a word from the question, answer a different question, or use a similar sound. This section has 29 sets of 25 items.

Every set has 25 items: five each of yes/no questions, wh-questions, either/or questions, tag questions, and statements. The 29 sets are divided into two difficulty levels by situation. Level 1 (easy, about A2: sets 1–20) uses everyday situations, such as office daily situations (set 1), shopping and retail (set 4), and health and clinics (set 7). Level 2 (medium, about B1: sets 21–29) moves to business and workplace situations with more specialised vocabulary, such as job interviews (set 21), HR and benefits (set 24), and contracts and policies (set 29).

Do the sets in order or pick a situation.
When you get an item wrong, listen again and identify which word tricked you.
Keep a list of these traps; it is one of the fastest ways to improve.
The 25 items are shown on one page, and you can switch to one item at a time.

How to check the answer

Choose a response, and the answer panel shows the question and all three responses in English and Thai, marks the correct one, and explains why each other response does not fit.
You can also open the answer panel before answering.

How scoring works

An item is scored when you choose an answer.
If you open the answer panel first, that item is not scored.
The score summary appears once you have answered every item.
